This can include running, walking, bicycling, swimming, volleyball, basketball, football, golf, skiing, skating, etc.  The athlete may also need to learn taping techniques and other specific training which improves the sport and prevents injury.

Dr Holly Harris, DPT and Jeff Buchanan, PTA, have specialties and significant experience in Sports Medicine.

The patient is evaluated and treatment is designed to strengthen, stretch, and improve the function of the injured area to its optimum function.  This type of therapy is active, challenging, and specific to the sport or activity the patient is pursuing.

The athlete will be challenged to improve balance, gait, proprioception, speed, agility, coordination, strength, and flexibility.  The athlete and the therapist's goal is to return to their sport/activity, and also prevent another injury.
